LAID Brand Professional Hair Care (for ADULTS)

In my only-beginning never-ending quest for non-toxic hair care products, I came across a really neat and interesting product. It's an all natural brand, with an interesting twist.

Click to go to their website
These products are great for our environment with recyclable containers, and the company is also currently working towards incorporating post-consumer recycled materials. This line of hair care makes your hair look and feel great, while also helping out your own personal energy; with the use of  Pherottraction   .
If you're wondering what Pherottraction™ is, this excerpt off the website says it best:
"PHEROTTRACTION™ is a custom formulated pheromone blend for both women and men.  Both utilize six unique pheromones that act synergistically to achieve the desired effects.  AND, since hair has expanded surface area as compared to skin, adding PHEROTTRACTION ™ to hair care products allows the pheromones to work better and last longer.
LAID BRAND is the only professional grade hair care line to use this level of pheromone technology."

This brings a new meaning to having sexy hair! You can read more about the Pherottraction™ here.

Before Laid Brand and I had decided to work together, my scalp was suffering. I had seen a dermatologist months prior, and he had prescribed something for my scalp (I had occasional dryness). I didn't need to use the treatment the dermatologist had given me right away, so I held onto the prescription until I did. It wasn't long, but when I had finally decided to use it, I really wish I could have changed my mind.

The chemicals in the prescription burned my scalp and my hair so bad, I thought it was all beyond repair. That's when I found out about Laid. The Pherottraction wasn't the selling point for me, instead it was Laid Brand Luscious Locks line that helps Dry and Damaged hair. Which at this point, my hair truly was dry and damaged. Very sad, indeed. I'm familiar with all the popular properties of the ingredients in these products, so I thought I'd give it a go - to fix my crazy mop.

I was sent Laid Brand Luscious Locks Conditioner, Luscious Locks Mask, and No More Headaches Working Hair Spray.

lb_women_lusciouslocksconditionerLuscious Locks Conditioner is a super COOL menthol treat for your hair. I know some people might not be hip to the idea of a menthol conditioner, but it was a really awakening scent and it even opened my sinuses, that's pretty intense. The ingredient list is just as intense with all natural and organic ingredients - such as coconut, avocado, and olive oil—which reduce protein loss common in both damaged and undamaged hair; delivering vitamins A, D, E and B6 as well as magnesium, copper, amino acids, iron, and folic acid which promote strength and elasticity. After shampooing, allow the conditioner to soak in for 3 minutes. It's clean, refreshing, uplifting, energizing and has an INTENSE cooling effect not for the faint of heart.
*The Buzz by LAID: Added Pherottraction's good friend and ingredient, lecithin, which locks the moisture and pheromone blend in the hair follicle, get excited!

lb_women_lusciouslocksmaskLuscious Locks Masks is paraben-free and sulfate-free (that's good news!) This mask is basically industrial strength conditioner that provides long lasting nourishment for your hair and a deep, silky, long lasting conditioning treatment that revives your hairs natural elasticity. All you have to do is apply it generously after shampooing to wet hair. Comb it through to make sure your hair is evenly coated and wait up to 7 minutes (for optimal conditioning and Pherottraction to soak in). Laid Brand suggests not use this mask more than two times a week, and I honestly can't imaging needing to use this more than twice a week.
After using it, my hair was shiny and soft, not wiry as the prescription solution had turned it. Hmm, so far so good.
*The Buzz by LAID: "Pherottraction is especially useful with this product, as it penetrates the hair and scalp it is formulated to provide additional relaxation, confidence and sexiness"

lb_women_nomoreheadachesIf you like to style your hair, this hair spray is a MUST have. What makes it so unique is the 3 way setting on the nozzle that sets 3 different sprays; a light spray, aggressive spray and a stronger hold spray. No More Headaches contains pro-vitamin B5 for shine and conditioning and as a UV absorber to help prevent color fade. I used all of the settings to see what I was dealing with, and each one had their benefits. The stronger hold would be great for extreme hair styles and I think it would hold a good pin-up 'do in place nicely, too. I didn't find this hair spray to be overly sticky or wet either. It has a nice, continuous mist spray on the gentle setting.
*The Buzz by LAID: So whether you’re attending the corporate lunch meeting or that 80’s hair band concert, No More Headaches has you covered.

Overall, LAID Brand doesn't remind me of the usual all natural hair care solutions I've come across. I feel like these products step completely out of the box and help remind us that we don't need to suffocate ourselves in sprays that are toxic to achieve that sexy look or have chemicals seep into our scalp just to get great shine.
