Acure Calming Body Lotion Review

I love body lotion. I love nontoxic body lotion the most. Many of the lotions I have tried so far, that fit our new lifestyle criteria have either; a.) not had a scent at all or b.) not smelled very good. I can appreciate a nice, light floral scent in a lotion just to add a touch of flowers to my own scent. Recently I was given Acure Calming Body Lotion to review. The scent is lavender + lotus flower. It has a really soothing smell.

I do get dry skin from time to time and because of that, I like to pamper my skin. I also like "sprucing" up my tattoos.

Acure Calming Body Lotion is made with Omega 3 Fatty Acids and the ingredients list, while quite lengthy, is all organic plant based ingredients.

The pumpkin + Argan Oil offer super moisturizing properties while the lavender + lotus flower emit calming, aromatherapy effects.

The bottle itself is made from 70% recycled material. I always love seeing a company take the extra effort and make their packing eco-friendly. It's important that we take care of ourselves, but we should also be thinking about the planet. Acure boasts directly on their label that 1 bottle = 1 tree planted. Also, this lotion is Fair Trade Certified, guaranteeing livable wages for workers and their families.

Outside of the gentle floral scents, the lotion is light and creamy. It's not a thick pasty type of lotion, and it rubs in quickly and smoothly. The first time I used it, I was surprised at how my skin "drank" in the lotion. I'm assuming my skin was super dry, because afterwards the area I applied it to looked younger, and felt smooth and healthier.

When my children were young, we would always use lavender scented baby baths for them. This lotion reminds me a lot of how they used to smell right before bed, all cozy in their footie pj's. It's a sweet memory for me.
